Think before you start looking for a change

After completing a year at my first job, I got an interview call through a placement consultant. Since there was no harm in attending the interview and giving it a shot, I participated in the discussion and got selected for the position.
I approached my boss and informed him that I would resign and join a new company. In the evening I got a call from my super boss's office to meet him.
He asked me why I wanted to leave the job. I told him that the salary offered was higher than my current salary, which was why I wanted to go.
He said, ok, if you have decided already, but he gave me just one piece of advice and told me to take a day and think it over before submitting an official resignation.
Do you respect your company?
Do you respect your job?
Do you respect your boss?
If the answer to these three questions is a yes, then never leave your place of work just for money.
These are the three things you should always check before making a move. And if you don't respect even any one of the three, then you should give it a thought.
If you don't respect your company, change it; If you don't respect your job, request a different role; If you don't respect your boss, try changing your team.
